Rizwaan Malik is a Fellow at Teaching Lab Studio, where he leads the Coteach project. His work focuses on building and evaluating AI-powered tools to support teachers with curriculum implementation and classroom practice. In collaboration with Stanford’s EduNLP Lab, he has conducted systematic evaluations of large language models for pedagogical applications, and his research has been published in the British Journal of Educational Technology, Learning @ Scale, and by the UK’s Education Endowment Foundation.

Rizwaan began his career teaching middle and high school mathematics and supporting teacher development at an education NGO. He later joined the UK Government’s Behavioural Insights Team, where he designed and evaluated large-scale education interventions through randomized controlled trials.

Rizwaan holds an MS in Education Data Science from Stanford University and a BA from the University of Oxford.
